Sunday 22nd July at Anderwood Forest, near Burley from 2pm onwards.
For just £1.00 per person, the Club will provide burgers and hot dogs.
As it is proving difficult for people to now hand in forms/money etc the following is advisable. If you wish to attend the barbeque on Sunday it is imperative that you e-mail me to let me know numbers for catering reasons. I will then add you onto the “pay on the day” list. There will be tickets issued on the day for those that have paid. Without paying, you will not be issued a ticket and will not be able to claim your barbequed culinary delights!!!
Please come along and enjoy the day – I have been promised the weather is going to improve at the weekend. At the end of the barbeque the kids will be asked to pick up ALL litter (regardless of who left it) and will be rewarded with a sweet for doing so. This will (hopefully) ensure the site stays clean and tidy, as dictated in the rules and regulations of the forest sites.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.

DIRECTIONS TO ANDERWOOD – SUMMER BARBECUE
After checking out this site I thought I would give you directions, as it is not signposted from main road! In my opinion, I would avoid going through Lyndhurst to get to it as traffic can be very heavy during summer months. However, if you do decide to take this route, then Anderwood is first right after Rhinefield/Boldrewood crossroads. Here is our route:
- From Ringwood, follow the A31 up to Picket Post service station and then follow the signs to Burley.
- Carry on through Burley (past the cricket field, White Buck etc) until you reach the Station Tea Rooms. Take a right here (signposted Lyndhurst) and follow road to the left.
- At junction turn left and continue onto A35 sign posted Lyndhurst. Follow this road for approx 4 miles until you see a triangular grassed area on your left and a green post on your right – you need to turn left here.
- Follow this road, passing Vinney Ridge on your left, for approx 1 mile. Anderwood is then on your right-hand side.
There are picnic benches here, but it may be worth taking chairs/fold-up picnic tables/rug in case there is not enough to accommodate us all! If anyone fancies bringing a small gazebo, this may be useful if weather turns or it is extremely hot (we hope). There is a lovely grassed area for the kids to play and forest walks for those with dogs.
THIS IS A WELL KEPT SITE. PLEASE, PLEASE ENSURE ALL LITTER IS TAKEN HOME OR PUT INTO BINS PROVIDED – IT’S MY NAME ON THE BOOKING FORM!!!!
Any queries, please feel free to speak to me at Seals or e-mail via website.
