Help Needed (Ringside View!)

We need 5 timekeepers for each session so 10 each night. If you can push a button you can do this – the stop watches start automatically, you just have to stop them. Times go to computer automatically.

All swimmers to attend. It is good for everyone to have a go at all strokes but if there is obviously someone who does it really badly they may be disqualified. The youngest swimmers only swim 25m (1 length) of the 4 main strokes.

Trophies

Would all trophy holders please return them clean and shiny bright.

DO NOT USE ANYTHING ABRASIVE TO CLEAN THEM. DUST OUT THE INSIDES.

If you have a number of trophies please wrap them up loosely as Anne has to remove any packaging. Remove the label with your name on it please BUT do not remove the number on the inside or back of the trophy.

Free Trial Sessions

Would you like to join Ringwood Seals Swimming Club? Are you interested in competitive swimming and at stage 4 in your swimming classes (or can swim the length of the pool confidently)? We are offering up to 6 free training sessions through October and November.

Our focus is on fitness, technique and working towards competing in galas. If you are interested, please email Anne to book your trial sessions.

Seals: do you know someone that might be interested in joining the Club? Please let them know about this offer!

Parking Problems

The Centre has informed us that: “we are not entering Seals parents car registrations onto the Parking Eye system due to the volume and inconsistency that would be involved.” Instead, the centre wants us to enter our car registrations at the terminals placed at reception every time we visit the site. It has provided this FAQ to explain the system.

Many people have been receiving parking notices despite having provided car registration details. There have also been times, as on Tuesday night, when the registration terminals were not working. If you think you have been unfairly issued with a parking notice and wish to contest it, read this article from MoneySavingExpert.

“Private parking companies have no official right to fine you, though they may try to make you think they do. All they’re doing is sending you a notice of what they deem to be a breach of contract.”
