WE URGENTLY NEED MORE HELPERS. Please send me your names or speak to me on Tuesday evening. Without your help, we cannot hold the event.

  • 21/24/28/ November and 1 Dec
  • Age is at 21st November
  • 1st Session – everyone under 10 years old (this may run over the normal finishing time)
  • 2nd session – 7.00 pm – everyone 11 years and over

There are 2 races of butterfly for the 1st session – 25m/50m Butterfly. You can only do one of these. The youngest and newest swimmers may not swim the strokes correctly but a certain amount of leniency occurs at the discretion of the referee (has to look like the stroke!).

Remember, there are heats and although swimmers may win their heat they may not be the overall winner so always swim as fast as you can.

Newbies: Only paid up members can qualify for a place in all races but, if not, you can do a time trial.

Swimmers: bring a T shirt as it is chilly on poolside when they are wet. Drinks allowed on poolside. Spare towel.  BUT NO SWEETS. When ready to swim do not have a shower – go to the mirrors and on there you will find your name with a number next to it write this on your arms at the top.

Spectators: There will be chairs on poolside, remember as you will be dry you will get quite warm so dress accordingly – no young people running around the changing rooms they must sit on the seats.

Trophies:  need to be back now please, all shiny bright and dusted inside. No labels left on – leave number inside on. I DON’T need the wooden ones back.

Direct Debit Payments

The company that handles your direct debit payments, London & Zurich (through Love Admin), has a major IT issue and has been unable to handle any transactions since 8th November (and perhaps earlier). The problem will also affect anyone trying to set up, cancel or amend direct debit payments. Hopefully the problem will be sorted out in a few days but it may take L&Z a while to get back to normal service. Your payments may be taken later than normal and it may be necessary for us to reissue requests for your November subs.
