AGM, 17th March 2011
The next Ringwood Seals AGM will be held on the 17th March 2011 at 7.15pm in the leisure centre activity room. There will be several positions coming available including the chairman’s role which I am unable to continue due to other personal commitments. I’m a firm believer in giving others the chance to take on the running of the club and I encourage all those interested to apply for committee positions. A full list of current positions is listed on the notice board. Roles that need filling are:
- Communications / Press Officer – This is a brand new position within the Seals Club and one which we hope all members will benefit from. We would like to provide all members with a quarterly newsletter and to see our club’s name in the local press.
- Fixtures Secretary – to set up the calendar of Gala events in co-ordination with the swim instructors and other clubs.
- Swim 21 Co-ordinator – develop and execute the yearly swim21 plan (ASA quality mark).
If any of the above positions interest you, but you feel you cannot attend committee meetings, please don’t let this stop you discussing the role further with the club. We do not expect our parent helpers to attend all meetings but would encourage as much involvement as possible from you on key club issues.
