Age groups: 7 & under, 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under,14 & under, 16 & under, Senior. Swimmer’s age is defined by age on first day of Home Championships.
All swimmers age 8 and under who take part will be presented with a Medal at presentation night.
Tuesday 11th November
6.00 – 7.00 p.m 8yrs and under F/C Fly
6.45 – 8.00 p.m. 9 years-12 year F/C Fly
7.45 – 9.00 p.m. 13 years + F/C Fly
Friday 14th November
6.30 – 7.30 p.m. 8yrs and under BK Breast
7.15 – 8.15 p.m. 9yrs – 12 years BK Breast
8.15 – 9.15 p.m. 13 years + BK Breast
Tuesday 18th November
6.00 – 7.00 p.m. 8 years and under IM
6.45 – 8.00 p.m. 9 yrs – 12 years IM
7.45 – 9.00 p.m. 13 years + IM
Also Open finals of Front Crawl and Butterfly
Friday 21st November
Normal 1st Session unless in 200m
7.15 – 8.15 p.m. 9yrs – 12 years 200m F/C
8.15 – 9.15 p.m. 13 years + 200m F/C
Open finals of Backstroke and Breaststroke
Some swimmers (mainly new swimmers and under 8 years) will not be entered into breaststroke, butterfly and IM because they are not ready to do these strokes. Carole will speak to you if this is what we decide or you can go and speak to her.
About the OPENS: These events are for the top 5 swimmers at each age. Open events are 50m races and use crossover age ranges: 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14+, giving the better swimmers an opportunity to race against a different age group.
